Bridget Williford
Chief Nursing Officer
Bridget joined Riverview in July 2024 as Chief Nursing Officer. She has over 15 years of behavioral health experience, having started as a Behavioral Health Tech. Bridget then worked for Child Protective Services and then UTMB as a psychotherapist in the Texas prison system with her Masters in Counseling Psychology. She decided to change from her career as an LPC to become a nurse, graduating Summa Cum Laude with her BSN from Texas Tech. She then spent years in ICU with certification as a CCRN in Texas and North Carolina.
Bridget began her journey into leadership by managing a psychiatric unit in San Angelo, TX. When a new inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital was being built, Bridget took on the challenge of being the Director of Quality and Risk Management, where she was able to start a new medical facility from the ground up and later promoted to Chief Nursing Officer.
She is excited to begin her journey with us, where Bridget will use her experience with transformational leadership and process improvement to create a successful mental and behavioral wellness program with teamwork from leadership and staff that ensures compassionate quality patient care that leads with light.
